CHRISTIAN CHILDREN’S FELLOWSHIP (CCF)
Kindergarten – 5th Grades
This group meets every Wednesday during the school year. The children are picked up at South, North and St. Mary’s by the church van or bus. They finish at 5:00 PM for parent pick up at church. CCF does mission projects to help others, crafts, enjoy a weekly snack, have Bible based lessons, play games and learn about their faith. They also take field trips to the park, bowling, Christmas caroling and lots of other fun times. The children have a good time learning together about their Christian faith. For information about registering a child for CCF, please contact the church office at 618-262-7331. Registration forms can be picked up at the church office Mon.-Fri. from 9:00a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
SUNDAY SCHOOL
Sundays 10:35AM – 11:30 AM
This classroom times allows children and youth a chance to learn Bible stories and explore faith on their own learning level. We have classes for all ages from Pre-School through High School (and also for those adults who want to keep growing in faith). Sunday School is a chance for each child to feel special and loved by teachers who share their faith.
SUMMER CAMPS
Summer camp is a great chance to make new friends and learn more about God and your faith. Camp Walter Scott is located near Effingham. There are a variety of camps for all ages and interests. Those who have completed 1st – 5th grades can attend Grandparents and Me Camp with a Grandparent or someone like a grandparent to the child. Youth camps are for children who have completed 3rd – 12th grades. Learn more about our camps at:

NURTURING CHILDREN
Children and Youth at First Christian Church are cherished and loved by the adults. We encourage parents with new babies to have their child blessed in worship. This is a time for parents to confirm their intention of raising their child in faith and for the congregation to affirm their commitment to support and nurture the parents and child and share their faith with the family. We believe that it takes all of us to help each other in our faith journey. Won’t you and your family join us?
